This is how our patch looks like:
Below you will find a description of the F16VPA patch and the significance of it:
DESCRIPTION.
The patch is a disk consisting of an OUTSIDE and INSIDE ring. On the inside ring, the upper halves background color is Air Force BLUE, the lower halves background color is RED. The scheme of an F-16 flying horizontal separates both parts. The color of the aircraft is SILVER GRAY. In the upper half of the inside ring, five white stars with gold border are lined up, two in the upper row, three in the lower row. In the lower half of the inside ring, on the left side is the ORIGINAL font of the "F-16"as displayed on the original Air Force F-16 patch. On the right side are two parallel and vertically ordered lightning in GOLD color with a BLACK border. The inside ring border is GOLD. The outside ring border color is Air Force BLUE. The space between inside and outside ring has a WHITE background color. Again, as in the inside ring both halves are separated partly by the overlapping image of the F-16. On the very top, over the white background in RED letters is inscribed the word "VIPER". On the lower half are the words "PILOTS ASSOCIATION" in RED letters. BETWEEN the words "VIPER" and "PILOTS ASSOCIATION" and in between the inside gold border and the outside blue border are, in the middle, two parallel lines with GOLD color same as the inside ring border.
SIGNIFICANCE.
The image of the F-16 is the symbol of the Viper Pilots Association and the craft that carries the mission. The color is silver gray because of the F16s recent 25th birthday, also known as the Silver Anniversary. It is encircled by a ring of blue on the outside and a half ring of blue on the inside - as we are surrounded by the sky in which we fly. The five stars in the upper half ring also symbolize the sky, the field of glory in the F-16 mission and the incredible amount of operations of the F-16 worldwide, each star representing one continent of the world where the Viper is flown. The red letters and the lower red half ring signify with this color the special meaning every one has made for his country and belief. The two lightning that seem to come shooting out of the aircraft stress the aggressiveness of the F-16 and the pilots when conducting their missions. The gold border of the inside ring and in between the words "Viper" and "Pilots Association" refer to the grace and beauty of the actual aircraft - gold as the worlds most precious metal, so is the F-16 the worlds most precious fighter.
